Coordination Specialist

About This Role: 

Ikos, a Pittsburgh-based startup is seeking a Coordination Specialist to join our efforts in scaling our business and operations efforts to new markets. We’re VC backed and have successful operations currently up and running in 9 cities including Pittsburgh, PA, Baltimore, MD, and Cleveland, OH.

As a Coordination Specialist at Ikos, you'll be responsible for maintaining our flex-leasing process by connecting landlords with renters and building relationships within the local market. The purpose of this position is to be the bridge between the potential renters and the wide variety of housing options we offer.

In this role, you will respond daily to inbound leads via, email, text and/or phone calls in order to coordinate showing appointments with potential renters, Insiders (who perform the showings), and occasionally tenants.  These showings provide unique information and insights about specific properties. You will be able to use the information within Ikos' proprietary system to help renters find the best property that works for them. We need your help to create the best experience possible for all who interact with us here at Ikos!

About Ikos:

Ikos is delivering a scalable leasing service for residential landlords that improves their occupancy rates and provides real-time market data for rental, rehab and investment decisions.

The residential renting process has been complicated and frustrating for both landlords and renters. We're here to change that by simplifying how landlords (specifically small/medium landlords) manage their investment properties, while better serving the renters who call those investments, home.

Some of the areas core to our Operations Team’s efforts include establishing and building relationships with renter and landlords but learning about our current inventory and working with our Sales Team to grow the company’s reach within Pittsburgh, Cleveland and in other cities and markets.

Expectations:

  • Guide Renters upon completion of them seeing a unit or apartment by answering any questions, facilitating request and helping them rent our landlords properties.
  • Identifying customer trends and advise marketing to set up demand generation programs to address them
  • Generating and following up with inbound and outbound leads or potential renters
  • Qualifying and converting marketing leads into sales opportunities to drive incremental business
  • Maintaining and enriching account data in our CRM
  • Team player
  • Learn the Ikos process in-depth and provide operations and sales insight to the team.
  • Engage in random banter with the team (tv shows/movies, sports, drinks, tech,  etc.).
  • Getting your hands dirty
  • Know that mistakes happen but work with the team to fix problems.
  • Be able to lead conversations on both the Operations and Sales side with stakeholders.
  • Overall exceptional communications skills, both verbal and written, are a must.

Qualifications:

  • 0-3 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to spend prolonged periods of time using a computer and speaking on the phone 
  • Familiarity with account management for defined focus prospects
  • Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain an open and honest communication with your team and management
  • Independence, yet a team player mentality
  • Comfortability speaking over the phone to renters and landlords seeking information about our company and/or properties

Real Estate Knowledge:

Ideal: Understand the struggle between renters and landlords.

Reality: Be eager and interested in real estate and compelled to help people already in the business with a desire to learn as much as possible. Be good with people (genuinely good with people) and enjoy relationship building.

Compensation:

We have a 90-day performance evaluation period in which we will work closely with you to put you in the best situations to succeed. We love our employees to grow within the company so there is plenty of opportunities to grow in the company as your experience grows.

Compensation begins at $13.50/hour, including monthly team bonuses. This would be ideally a morning position but there is flexibility in the evenings as well.
